Course description

From primary schools right through to Sixth Form Colleges and Universities there is a real need to ensure that all staff – teaching and support – have access to Disability Awareness Training for Schools and Colleges.

By the very nature of the education environment there will always be students that have disabilities – many of whom may well have hidden disabilities.

We are now working with a growing number of schools and colleges across the UK to ensure that their staff have a good grounding in disability awareness. This ensures that their students, whether disabled or not, get the best possible level of care and support from all of the staff.

Our already comprehensive package now includes sections on ADD/ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy and Hidden Disabilities.

But don’t worry… We ‘re not trying to turn you into an expert on all aspects of disability. This Disability Awareness Training for Schools and Colleges is designed to give you a good basic understanding of disability, making you feel more comfortable in your day to day dealings with any disabled person – students, colleagues or parents.
